Visited Oxford’s Templegate College on Wed 10 Sept 14. to hear Lynne Farrow – author of best selling medical book “The Iodine Crisis”, give an hours presentation on the importance of Iodine to our health.

Her interest in the subject stems from her own journey of brain fog, exhaustion and finally breast cancer. She now takes iodine on a daily basis.

She covered :-
i) the importance of iodine –especially for women
ii) the history of iodine over the centuries – how it has played an integral part in our welfare.
iii) how in recent years the  worlds population is becoming Iodine deficient.
iv) effect of a  reduced iodine intake – especially with respect to thyroid activity and hence a wide range of body functions
v) the dangers of Bromide and Fluorine blocking Iodine intake.
vi) How Bromide is so common in our daily lives – it’s in certain drugs, pesticides, certain fire retardant products. Consequently bromide is in our environment- we consume it constantly through the dust we breath.
vii) How babies are even  more prone than adults to taking in Bromide.
