Reasons to try Bowen

7 Improves Posture
Posture is a major influencing factor in the origin of  physical aches and pains and Bowen can have a dramatic effect on improving  posture

Interestingly the body appears to have the ability to process old injuries. It is though the body stores a memory of a blow or trauma which can be held in  a frozen state for many years - Bowen work seems to allow the body to unfreeze the areas that have been compensating.

The key to effective treatment is to determine the location of the original organising factor in someone's condition. e.g.  although a client may report knee pain it may well be because a pelvic imbalance is causing  additional strain on the knee as they walk.

Before I commence treatment I often ask clients to remove their shoes, and stand naturally  and then ask them to describe the contact between their feet  with the floor.  e.g. is the weight evenly balanced between the feet?   Is there more pressure on the heels or balls of the feet?    Then, following the treatment session, I repeat the exercise and in the vast majority of cases clients report that they feel more balanced -i.e. aware of a more even distribution of weight over their feet.
