Cottsway are holding a FREE Disability Advisory Event on Thursday 30th October 14 at the Langdale Hall, Witney, Oxfordshire. Advice is being provided on a range of issue by numerous organisations, including Red Cross, Healthwatch Oxfordshire, Thames Valley Police, Greensquare Extra Care, Shopmobility and many more. I have volunterred to support the event by offering Free Bowen Sessions. Bowen is very convenient therapy since it can be provided for clients seated in a chair or wheelchair - the clients comfort is of paramount importance during the session so that they are able to relax, allowing the body to start a rebalancing in the connective tissue of the body. The meeting is open to all - so please come along. Further Details of the event can be found by contacting Maggie on 08008 766366 or 01993 890000 Stephen 01993 898693 [email protected]

Last Saturday spent a a whole day offering Free Bowen "taster" Treatments at the Mind and Body Fayre in Witney, Oxfordshire.
These sessions are designed to give the client an opportunity of feeling the deep relaxation that can be induced after only a few small Bowen moves. Although only limited procedures were applied, all the clients I treated reported the treatment to be of significant benefit. This is nor surprising because with Bowen you only need a small limited amount of bowenwork to induce a change. As we say in Bowen "Less is More". All the clients experienced the immediate relaxation induced, however, 2 women in particular had an immediate positive response to their shoulder conditions. One women had an issue of not being able to raise her arm by more than 30 degrees from her side - Following the treatment she immediately reported full movement, allowing her to raise her arm a full 180 degrees, to above her head. This immediate response to a frozen shoulder was as remarkable as the session shown in the attached link. This is a recording from Good Morning New Zealand TV show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=rgcOnFeqQxs&feature=endscreen. The founder of 'Bowtech' Oswald Rentsch demonstrates how a shoulder can immediately respond to Bowen Procedures. The link also discusses him going on to treat the presenter and a member of the TV crew. Stephen 01993 898693 The last few quarterly issues of my Professional Association's newsletter “Bowen News” have published progress reports of a study on children effected by Cerebral Palsy, undertaken by Bowen Therapist Camelia Pop BAUK. The initial Study, undertaken in Manchester, involved some 6 children aged 14 months to 14 years. Of the 5 children who continued (one child only undertook 1 treatment session) a number of improvements for each child were observed. The success of the project has resulted in Camelia extending the project to other children whose parents responded to an invitation that she posted on netmums.com noticeboard. The fact that the initial study appears to show a benefit to children with Cerebrial Palsy , will come as no surprise to Bowen Therapists, but such studies, although limited in their size, will help in expanding the awareness to the wider community that Bowen is able to help such cases If you would like to view the full article, please e-mail me and I will arrange for scanned copies to be forwarded to you.
