The last few quarterly issues of my Professional Association's newsletter “Bowen News” have published progress reports of a study on children effected by Cerebral Palsy, undertaken by Bowen Therapist Camelia Pop BAUK. The initial Study, undertaken in Manchester, involved some 6 children aged 14 months to 14 years. Of the 5 children who continued (one child only undertook 1 treatment session) a number of improvements for each child were observed. The success of the project has resulted in Camelia extending the project to other children whose parents responded to an invitation that she posted on netmums.com noticeboard. The fact that the initial study appears to show a benefit to children with Cerebrial Palsy , will come as no surprise to Bowen Therapists, but such studies, although limited in their size, will help in expanding the awareness to the wider community that Bowen is able to help such cases If you would like to view the full article, please e-mail me and I will arrange for scanned copies to be forwarded to you.
